19th Circuit Public Defender Mission Statement
The Public Defender Office of the 19th Circuit takes what we call a “holistic approach” to public defending. Our first and foremost job is to represent people in court, ethically and zealously, and we do just that. However, if we can help in other ways with employment, substance abuse counseling, educational direction, or fill a financial gap through our 501-c-3 Lifebuilders to help “break the cycle” of crime, we are proud to do so.
Ms. Litty has been your elected Public Defender since 1992. During Ms. Litty’s tenure she has spearheaded many innovative programs that help reduce recidivism, save taxpayer dollars and improve the service of the 19th circuit Public Defender Office offers the community.
